Product details

Description

Some breakouts need more than a single action, and this gel brings two proven acne fighters together in one daily step. Adapalene, a modern retinoid, keeps the pore from clogging and calms the inflammation behind red, sore spots, while benzoyl peroxide clears the bacteria that let acne take hold. Used together they tackle both the cause and the flare.

It suits moderate acne on the face and body, and because it works on spots that have not yet surfaced, it both clears current breakouts and helps head off the next wave. A short settling in period of dryness or mild redness is normal as the skin adjusts.

Apply it once a day to clean, dry skin, and make daily sunscreen part of the routine, since the retinoid leaves skin more sensitive to the sun.

Directions

Apply a thin layer to clean, dry skin once a day in the evening, across the whole affected area rather than only on spots. Start every other night if your skin is sensitive, and always follow with sunscreen the next morning. Wash your hands after applying.

Ingredients

Adapalene 0.1 percent and benzoyl peroxide 2.5 percent.

Side Effects

Dryness, redness, peeling and stinging are common in the first weeks as skin adapts, then settle. Sun sensitivity is increased throughout.

Warning

For external use only, and it increases sun sensitivity, so wear sunscreen daily. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach fabric, towels and hair on contact. Keep away from the eyes, lips and broken skin.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

How is this different from Differin?

Differin is adapalene alone. This gel adds benzoyl peroxide, which clears acne bacteria, making it a stronger option for inflamed breakouts.

Why is my skin dry and red at first?

A short settling in period is normal as skin adjusts to the retinoid. It usually eases within a few weeks, and starting every other night helps.

Can it bleach my towels?

Yes. Benzoyl peroxide can bleach fabric, towels, bedding and hair, so let it dry fully and use white linens where you can.
